History of SBCTA | 公会历史
- 1st April 1947 – Sin Chew Bakery Association was formed by a group of passionate bakers. Founders include 韩鸿丰先生、林树旭先生、韩秀元先生、林鸿仪先生、林瑞洪先生、韩步云先生、潘正球先生、符鸿合先生、陈家礼先生、郑玉光先生、张惠清先生、杨维琏先生及何敦鉴先生.
- 1st April 1950 – Office shifted to 71 Bencoolen Street
- 14 February 1954 – Office shifted to 78 Waterloo Street
- 1966 – Setting up of Committee with 黎国汉先生 being the President and 张惠清先生 being the Vice President
- 22 February 1967 – Office relocated to 192A Waterloo Street
- 1968 – Renamed as Singapore Bakery & Confectionery Trade Association and officially registered with the Registrar of Business.
- 1977 – 新加坡面包西果原料批发合作社有限公司 was set up to play a major role in assisting the development of members’ businesses. The Association also brought a van with the intention to be loaned to members for delivery services
- 1980 – Purchase & relocating to permanent office at 50 Lorong 24A Geylang
- 2016 – Registration of the International Federation Chinese Bakery Confectionery Association with its secretarial service in Singapore

AGM New Constitution
The original constitution was drafted during SBCTA’s inception in the 1970s and since then there have been no amendments made to the document. Substantive changes been made in the area of membership, subscription fees, executive office, term of office, etc. The entire constitution has since been refreshed to be consistent with the rules and guidelines from other trade associations in Singapore, and subject to member’s acceptance and occurrence.
